Today I would like to generate some debate with this post because while I have been looking to do the right thing always brings many benefits (both tangible and intangible), however, the fact remains that while doing bad things greatly increases your chances of failure there is still a high percentage of organizations and people who generate a lot of rework, actions and “strange” ways of doing things, to remedy all deficiencies found in their way, without being aware that the problem is themselves. And most surprising is that some are so good at doing this, that things “more or less” funcionan.Hacer them wrong cosasEs say, organizations that do not do things right and yet make a profit, of course not all who they could get, but that they do not know this fact and attribute it to the complexity of the sector, the time or the global macroeconomy, go to know.

Or of those responsible who do not care for their teams, or feel a real appreciation for each person working for them and yet, weathering the brain drain, bad weather and lack of engagement of its employees, with a high turnover personnel, many hours of training to overcome the inexperience of their workforces and ephemeral motivational pills to try to engage and involve professionals.

For me the difference is clear, companies are stuck in the “Survivor mode” only move in the short term, his gaze does not reach far beyond the 6 to 12 months, so that all their actions and measures they are focused at that time.

What will I think of within 2 or 3 years if there might be missing? Some think … Why invest in these people if perhaps in a few months to competition they leave? terrorize others … What is really true is that these organizations have a set of beliefs that limit them greatly in their way of perceiving reality and properly manage their resources.

However, it amazes the fact that many companies are able to find that balance point where they are able to “hold” and ride out the storm, while gaining minimal results and to continue its activity a few months. On the other side are the organizations that are unable to see beyond what’s in front of their noses. They are companies not cover aspects such as work environment or emotional health of its employees and that, without intending to hurt anyone focus solely on the technical, productive, tangible aspects, leaving aside all those things that also affect the number, but are difficult to measure and address.

They are organizations that are created to be sustainable fulfilling 90% or 95% of their goals, without being aware that they have potential to reach 120% or more, all this is beyond the scope of his vision, which is only oriented what they have not before departing one iota from the script because if they do not get at least 90% are at serious risk of disappearing.

These are also a type of targeted short-term companies, as they are only aware of what they need to do today to not get out of the tight provisions that have, without questioning why they are so tight, why they work as “the failure” and if, doing things in a different way, another reality would be possible (with greater benefit for the company, for employees and for the climate and the emotional health of all its components).

I guess I have to get used to the fact that organizations have still doing things wrong, more or less do well, more or less enduring and more or less they are profitable. And, there are people (organizations, managers, etc.) who will progress and can make things easy, they put their complicated challenges …
