The company NUTRIPACK IBERIAN, specialized in making trays for food use, has successfully passed several very demanding their material technical analysis, a pioneer in Spain in the NIAS research into plastic containers injected into direct contact with food.

Specifically, studies have focused on polypropylene trays manufactured by NUTRIPACK commonly used by companies catering and the food industry.

These tests range from the study of IAS (substances intentionally added), to check the absence of bisphenols, phthalates and aromatic amines, up to the screening, by gas chromatography and liquid, to determine the presence of NIAS (substances added involuntarily).

Thus, these studies attempt to check for chemicals that may be present in a material, but have not been added for a technical reason during the production process.

In all, the results of these rigorous analyzes that have been exposed materials company NUTRIPACK, ensure that no migration of substances occurs from the trays to food for all thermal processes which can be subjected tray within the food industry (dejection, regeneration, pasteurization, sterilization, freezing …).

For its part, the Technological Institute of Packaging, Transport and Logistics, ITENE, has acted as a collaborating center with the company in order to validate the ability of these containers in terms of NIAS, as established by Regulation (EU) 10 / 2011.

Thus, from the Technology Center we have conducted various tests and has advised the company throughout the evaluation process NIAS. ITENE has laboratories accredited by ENAC according to UNE-EN ISO / IEC 17025: 2005. This fact is a guarantee of quality and allows obtaining reliable, accurate and traceable results.
Regulation No. 10/2011
The completion of these trials represent the most demanding of the products manufactured by NUTRIPACK IBERIAN comply with Regulation (EU) 10/2011 on plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food scrutineering.

This regulation applies to materials and objects, as well as stating the parties exclusively of plastics.

Finally, this regulation also applies to layers or plastic coatings forming gaskets in lids and closures and constitute a set of two or more layers of materials of different types and layers in plastic materials and multilayer composite objects.
